THE ICONic FRAMEWORK
TM

Don’t leave your first impression to chance — or the biases of your audience.
The ICONic™ Framework is a strategic approach to managing the relationship between wardrobe, perception, and influence.
IMAGE
What are you broadcasting?
Wardrobe is part of your outward perception. Image considers the visual signals you send, the authority they communicate, and whether your visual identity is aligned with your goals.
It means understanding the weight of what you broadcast — intentionally or otherwise.
CAPACITY
Does how you show up support how you need to function?
Capacity considers how your wardrobe can support your ability to think, focus, and perform at your best.
Through enclothed cognition, clothing can influence your psychological state and self-perception, making wardrobe an inward signal as well as an outward one.
Capacity also considers cognitive load: the mental energy consumed by unnecessary decisions. A strategically built wardrobe reduces the daily friction of deciding what to wear, what works together, and whether you are appropriately dressed — preserving more of your attention for the decisions that actually require it.
Your wardrobe shouldn’t compete with your capacity. It should support it.
OPPORTUNITY
What does this room require?
Every environment has its own terrain, power dynamics, and forms of social currency.
Opportunity is the ability to read those differences and build enough versatility and agility into your wardrobe to meet them — adapting your visual presence to the specific opportunity without losing your identity.
NARRATIVE
What story does it all tell?
Narrative synthesizes Image, Capacity, and Opportunity into a compelling, consistent story about your leadership.
Before you introduce yourself, your presence has already begun communicating who you are, how you
operate, and how you understand the room.
The goal isn't to manufacture credibility. It's to make sure your visual presence doesn't obscure the
credibility you've already earned.
The complete framework and the practical tools for applying it are explored in
ICONic™: The Wardrobe & Presence Formula for Influence.
